Our Ville-age

A passage to possibility

The Mississippi River gave Black St. Louisans a school when the law refused to. It carried refugees to safety when no one else would help. It has always been more than a body of water — it has been a passage to possibility.

River Blues Community Development Organization is working to create that same passage for the families of North St. Louis City today.

Every dollar you contribute goes directly toward revitalizing The Ville — rehabilitating aging housing, constructing new homes, restoring historic landmarks, and building the kind of community infrastructure that changes lives for generations.

Your Gift Makes Possible

  • Safe, quality housing for low-income families in The Ville
  • Restoration of historic landmarks like the Simmons Elementary School
  • New construction that replaces vacant lots with vibrant homes and neighbors
  • Community events like the Iron Bulldog Invitational that reconnect residents across generations
  • Economic opportunity and neighborhood pride in a community that has earned both

We believe The Ville has everything it needs to thrive — history, heart, and people who refuse to give up on it. What it needs is resources. That is where you come in.
